Very sad, everyday so many accident cases and many innocent lives are lost. Driving is an art, unless and until we enforce strict rules and abide them, nothing can be changed. Heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and speedy recovery for the injured.

Do not blame anyone. All these because of the corrupt administration. Authorities need to enforce the law very strictly and educate the drivers and all citizens to drive safe. Do not balme any driver whether he is a bus driver or two wheeler. People balme heavey drivers for all the accident and the mistakes caused bythe light drivers will never known. But for sure the concerned authorities will never mind to enforce the laws strictly.

May the soul of Krish V. Bangera rest in eternal peace and give all the comfort his parents Vasanth and Geeta Bangera and his family members and friends. It is a terrible loss and the drivers should be punished severely and their licence be revoked forever. How come both the buses came so close to each other and that too in the morning. I pray to God for the speedy recovery of the injured. Day by day accidents are increasing and in most cases they are fatal. the police should handle the situation strictly and arrest the drivers who are going above the speed limit.

so sad... there will be no law will control pvt bus, tankers, tipper drivers.... now police busy with removing tint glass making fines..etc wich is not at all meanful. what RTO doing ? still now how many overspeed bus been stoped..? how many been funished? no.. not even single bus....or vehical... it is very bad experience .. i request people to participate in some type of strike against RTO. becoz how they control the traffic rules.??.... normally we people support barath bund..karnataka bund.. udupi bund etc...for no solid reason.. WE NEED TO DO STRICK OR BUND FOR OUR SAFTY FIRST............

Mr. Sameer, Doha, without knowing the fact please dont comment. I was present there at the time of accident and have helped the injured kids to transport to the hospitals. It is not the Bombay bus driver's fault - he was driving on highway. It was the school van driver who came from the Haradi road and rushed to highway without seeing left or right. How can the Bombay bus driver control the bus on highway when it was his right to go. The school bus driver should have waited, since he was coming from the cross road, until the highway traffic was cleared. Always the big vehicle drivers are blamed and targeted when the actual fault is of the light vehicles. Similarly two wheelers over take the cars and heavy vehicles from left side or whichever the way possible. They dont have little patience to wait. In case of accident, again four wheel drivers are getting hammered by the public! This is my experience in Udupi after retirement from Gulf.

Teachers teach, doctors heal, engineers build, drivers kill!!! I think, more than RTO, drivers must become aware of their great role: the lives of passengers are in their hands. Day by day we hear about accident cases from India, but mind u, it does not happen in other countries where drivers are much more disciplined. Most accidents are caused by either drunken driving, or pan parag driving. Intoxicants boost their false confidence Like alcohol, ban use of gutka during driving. they are as bad as alcohol. Licence of public transport drivers must be renewed every 5 years after checking all these.

DAY BY DAY ACCIDENTS CASES ARE INCREASING. NOW IT IS THE TIME TO DO MAKE SOME CHANGES IN TRAFFIC RULES. RTO SHOULD ALERT MORE AND SHOULD TAKE BELOW STEPS AS PER MY UNDERSTANDING.

REDUCE SPEED LIMIT TO 60 IN HIGHWAY. MAKE PROPER ROAD SINGNALS. MAKE HUMPS IN EACH AREA LIKE ACCIDENTAL ZONES, TURNINGS, TRAFFIC SINGALS, SCHOOL, OFFICE ZONE ETC. MOST IMPORTANT THING IS DRIVING LICENSE SHOULD MAKE VERY STRICT. THEN ONLY WE CAN AVOID SUCH ACCIDENTS.
