Udupi: Locals Against Proposed Crusher Unit at Padoor Seek Divine Help

Locals who are against the proposed setting up of a crusher unit at Padoor, near here, sought the divine help on Monday June 4, as a few locals are in favour of the proposal.

Over 50 locals who are against the unit carried tender coconuts in a procession from Vishwakarma Samaj Seva Sangh, Kalattoor, and offered 51 tender coconuts each to Vishwanath temple, Yellur and Mahalingeshwar temple, Kalattur, here. 

They also offered mass prayers at the local church and mosques.
 
Karunakar Shetty Padoor led the protest along with Majoor gram panchayat member Ravi Acharya, Chandu Shettigar, Harish Acharya, Raghavendra Acharya, and Purandar Moolya.
