KSRTC to Slash Mangalore-Manipal Volvo Bus Fare

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore

Mangalore, Jun 6: Come July, the Mangalore-Manipal Volvo bus journey will cost less, as the price of ticket on this route will be slashed, informed KSRTC city divisional controller Ramesh.

Though it has been decided to bring down the fare, a final decision on the new fare will be taken in the next 15 days, he said.

Till recently, Mangalore-Manipal journey used to cost Rs 70, and Mangalore-Udupi Rs 65. The fares for both routes were hiked to Rs 80 following the rise in the price of fuel. The public had protested the move.

The Volvo is the preferred choice of many travellers on this route. Students and regular commuters do not mind shelling out extra bucks for the comfort they get.

Its a good news in one way.In other way its a sad news, as people don't require A/C in the Monsoons.Good that even in the case of petrol price hike, fares are getting reduced.
