Kasargod: Police Resort to Baton Charging During SFI Protest Rally

Kasargod, Jun 8: The protest rally that taken out by SFI activists urging the police department to arrest the alleged killers of SFI district joint secretary Anish Raj, at Hosdurg taluk office, on Thursday June 7 turned violent.



The policemen had to resort to baton charging as the activists tried to push past the barricades.  The protesters also pelted stones at the policemen.  A few protesters and policemen were injured as a result. Meanwhile, the protest rally that began from Kotacheri resumed after a short while and concluded.

SFI district secretary Salu Mathew and Sabish led the protest rally.
