Udupi: Fishing Expedition Ends in Disappearance of Three

Udupi, Jun 21: Three persons who went fishing in a pond at Moodugiliyar near Kota here on Wednesday June 20 have gone missing.

They have been identfied as Narasimha (60), Raj (46) and Kiran (17).

At around 5.30 pm, the trio went fishing in a pond located in a field. But they did not return even by nightfall.

Their families and neighbours began to search for them, but in vain. Their fishing rods, footwear and clothes were found beside the pond.

Kota police and Kundapur fire personnel arrived at the spot and launched a search operation.
