Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore

Mangalore, Jul 13: Train passengers on Thursday July 12 had to wait for more than one-and-half hours after three trains were stopped on the tracks due to a technical failure in the railway signal system at Mangalore Junction (Kankanady),

It is learnt that the Mangalore-Puttur passenger train had left the central railway station and arrived at Mangalore junction at 6.30 pm. Due to a faulty signal, the train left from the station at 8.10 pm.

The train which was supposed to reach Puttur by 7.25 remained in Kankanady till 8 pm, and finally reached Puttur by 9 pm.

Mangalore-Bangalore and Konkan trains which arrived from Surathkal route also had to wait for a long time.

As the passengers were not given any information regarding the technical problem, the delay in trains aroused minor panic among the passengers.

This is not a big issue. Theres nothing political in this, only technical. Such things do happen ocassionally. I was once stranded at a traffic signal in Dubai. The signal was red for 1 hour.

Shankarnarayanan Aiyar T.A.S, Mangalore/Ramewshwaram - You are a disgrace to society - all along I thought IYER's were inteligent - you are new to this forum and are unfit to be entertained in intelectual discussions. There are other JOKERS too, but people hit the disagree button seeing their names - same will go for you too. Better do some Puja in your home ground and refrain from a hatred in our state.

DEAR ALL, PLEASE FOLLOW MY SUGGESTION FOR YOUR SAFETY IN JOURNEY.

    1. PLEASE UTILIZE BUS OR TAXI INSTEAD OF INDIAN TRAIN.

    2. PLEASE USE OTHER FLIGHTS OR TRY TO JOURNEY IN SHIP INSTEAD OF AI FILGHTS OR KINGFISHER FLIGHTS.

    3. DO NOT USE DIRECT FLIGHT TO MANGALORE. ALWAYS CHOOSE VIA MUMBAI.

ALL REASON FOR THIS IS OUR CORRUPT CENTRAL TEAM. IT IS STILL IN COMA.

WHEN MODIJI BECOME PM - 2014, AFTER THAT ALL PROBLEM WILL BE SOLVED. JAI HO INDIA.

In India we are like this onnnnllly.. But thank God the faulty signals didn't end up in an accident. One can wait for a few hours although not desirable..

It's nothing but gift from our former railway minister Haji Jaffer Shareef. Now common man to surface the consequences.
