Riyadh: Arabco Clinches Bankal-Sino Steel Trophy

Riyadh, Jul 24: In a sensational match, Host Bankal Sports Club and Arabco played the finals in the prestigious first Bankal-Sino Steel Trophy-2012. Arabco defeated Bankal to lift the trophy.

The two teams thrilled the audience with their outstanding performance. Team Bankal seemed to lack coordination resulting in the defeat, despite attacker Naeem and setter Jibin Jose giving equal response to the counterpart.

Ziad of Arabco was awarded the best attacker of the tournament for his stylish powerful spikes. Naeem and Jibin Jose of Bankal Sports Club were awarded the best all-rounder as well as best setter respectively.

The best eight invited teams participated in this tournament, Mount Everest representing Nepal, Team Pilipinas representing Philipines, Ghazi e Millat representing Pakistan, Kasc from Dammam, Aspco from Al Khobar, Gulf Column from Jubail, Arabco from Riyadh and Host Bankal Sports Club.

Guest of honour Zhaoran (general manager) of Sino Steel and Abdul Rahman Sultan (marketing manager) of Sino Steel gave away the winners trophy. Islam al Farra of Must Bee Exhibitions and Irshad representing Compass Ocean Logistics awarded the runners trophy. Mohammed al Kathiri of New tech adv. Co. gave away the individual trophies to the players.  Syed Bawa Bajpe and Syed Sirajullah Bangalore compered the program.

    Congratulations to all the Teams,WINNERS and ORGANIZERS.
    Arabco dominated the play thier Solid defence,aggressive offence and thier devoloping Jump serve.well organized....we enjoyed lots.
