Moodbidri, Aug 15: “Photography is not just a profession, but is also an art,” said A K Thimmayya, circle inspector of Moodbidri.
He was speaking after inaugurating the new unit of South Canara Photographers’ Association in Moodbidri and the swearing ceremony of office bearers.
In the presidential address, the association president Vasudev Rao announced that the association will soon start a cooperative bank.
Harish K Adhoor, lecturer of journalism department, Alva’s college, was the chief guest of the occasion.
Newly appointed president Abhay Kumar, honorary president Bhanuprakash, office bearers Ravi S Kotian, Wilfred Mendonca and others were present.
Hari Prasad Devadiga proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Ashraf.
