Mangalore: Foundation Stone Laid for Our Lady of Mercy Church

Mangalore Aug 22: Dr Aloysious Paul D’Souza, bishop of Mangalore diocese, laid the foundation stone for the proposed new Church at Fajir on Wednesday August 22.

The priests from the deanery were present at the occasion.

Fr Stany Pereira, the parish priest welcomed the bishop and the gathering.

Prakash Anil Castelino , resident priest, Lawrence Cutinha, Engineer, Richard Rodrigues, contractor, Victor Monteiro, vice president of parish council,  Sr Annie, superior of the convent , Gurkars of 16 wards, leaders of various associations,  parish council members were present. 

Felix Monteiro, secretary of parish council proposed the vote of thanks.

Preetham Noronha compered the program.

As many as 500 parishioners were present.
