    Dear Remy,

I accidently happened to take part in this programme, but it never appeared to me that it was a political function. Catholic Sabha's initiantion is praiseworthy.

Good initiative by Catholic Sabha. This card will help the needy. Such community health prepay schemes reduce the cost of ill health. However Manipal University is takin undue advantage of the card. Manipal is bound to extend free outpatient and inpatient care as per govt guidelines. Manipal has to offer free beds as its a teaching hospital. Not many are aware of this. Pai of Manipal is a pakka business man.

Health card for 17000 families, for more than 40,000 members giving health is not a small event. Oramod Madhwaraj donates 10 000 rupees every monty to Manasa school Pamboor and helps every person approaches him for help. He was called because of that. Last year more than 2 crore rupees were claimed by our community through Catholic SDabha Konkani Health card scheme. Dr Gerald Pinto

Why is it that even a health card distribution made a political function, this is medical related and people from the medical fraternity were enough why bring in a certain party for every function and get the wrath of others we should be wise and this was totally uncalled for with elections round the corner the politcians are ever ready and this catholic sabha did not wate time to score some points these are not free, the charges for the card has doubled since last year
