Two Suspended Teachers Receive Awards on Teachers' Day!

Bijapur/Kolar -  Sep 6 : It has been reported that two school teachers who had been suspended by the authorities for wrong doing have been included in this year’s District level 'Best Teacher' award , which is awarded every year for the teachers who excel in their profession from Bijapur and Kolar Districts..
 
The first incident has been reported from Bijapur District.  SM Inamdar  - a school teacher belonging to India UBM PS School  has been selected for the 'Best Teacher Award' . Apparently, this Inamdar was suspended in April 2008 for helping a student to copy in the SSLC exam !
 
The other incident has been reported from Kolar District.  MPS School teacher M K Cahudary who was suspended for his misbehaviour  has also been awarded the “Best Teacher award .
 
Both these teachers received the awards on September 5, 2012 in their respective Districts during the official teachers' day programme.
 
It has reported that, awards to these suspended teachers have brought an embarrassment to the deserving good teachers who also received the award on same day through merit !
 
When the matter was brought to the notice of State Education Department's Deputy Director BN Hakim, he promised to take immediate action by withdrawing  the awards from those two tainted teachers.
 
It is learnt that, awards to those suspended teachers were recommended by the Taluk Level Education Officers.

    Those who are suspended or dismissed only are entitled for this award. Those who are giving awards too are in some scams, nothing new. This should not be a big issue.

    Actually those who commented here are illiterates!!!!They do not know what is meant by 'suspension' and 'dismissal'Please be understand that suspension is not a punishment by itself unless changes are proved and he/she under suspension are entitled for Teachers day award if they meet the parameters.

    de way de awards should be given has to be changed .students should be made to vote who is best teacher in school.teacher who gets 80 percent majority by voting shall hav eligibility to apply for it..i have seen in many case those who donot know even to read or write deir subject winning award by false means..teachers shld be made to take class before panel of experts to prove dey r efficent and it shld be before all teachers who hav got eligibilty ..also shld check family background..

    This is possibly due to the fact that the foreign tour of our ministers was cancelled and that they have not studied the foreign policy of awarding best teachers. We should be expecting some hilarious awards next year since our ministers have not been educated properly.
