It is such a joy to see so many Mangalorean Indians scattered in the Holy Land of Israel and celebrating the feast of Nativity in the land where Mother Mary was born and raised.

Our last visit to the Holy Land was in the year 1965 wher we took a road journey from Amman to Jerusalem via the River Jordan when the entire area was under the jurisdiction of Jordan under King Hussain.

We are anxious to visit the Holy Land and visit Bethlehem and Jerusalem along with many other places. Since 1965 we were privileged to visit Lourdes and Fatima and also Izmir in Turkey where the Virgin Mother moved from the Holy Land along with St. John the Evangelist and died and ascended to heaven.

The City of Jerusalem is very much on the headlines in America during this time of the General Election, and hopefully Mother Mary will bring lots of peace and harmony when we celebrate Nativity next year.

Meanwhile we ask our friends in the Holy Land to pray for peace in the world because they are closer to all the Holy places where Jesus was born and so also his Mother Mary and His grandparents too.
