Mysore - KCA Celebrates Monthi Fest at Infant Jesus Shrine, Pushpashram

Mysore, Sep 10: The Nativity of Our Lady was celebrated by the Mysore Konkani members under the banner of Konkani Christian Association on September 9 at Pushpashram in a grand manner.

The Monthi Fest was made meaningful by offering flowers brought from many gardens by the young and the old singing "Sokkod Sangata Mellyam". Offering of flowers by children and blessing of the new corn near the Grotto of Mary was presided by Fr Joe Tauro and Fr Wilfred frank

The members of KCA family took part in the holy Eucharistic mass celebrated by Fr Joe Tauro and Fr Edwin.

Around 750 Konkani members came together as one family and celebrated the Monthi Fest and Family Day and then together shared the joy of the new harvest by drinking "vorn".
 
President Gracian Rodrigues greeted the members of the association and secretary John William D'Souza extended his gratitude to all those who had worked for the success of the programme.
