Udupi, Oct 24: “Art helps maintain balance and happiness in life", said professor P Ramakrishna Chadaga at the inaugural of an art exhibition of various artists at the Vision art school gallery in Udupi recently.

Chadaga urged that contemporary art requires the eminent power of arts, presently youth are losing interest in art. The elders should help them to create a curiosity for art.

When an artist develops his interest in art , he will progress better, said Chadaga.

"With better technology, artists can exhibit their art to the world; hence they should indulge more into it. The art schools should try invoke the beauty conscious and art conscious among the people", he stated.

Artists should be creative and not only for publicity, the schools should teach students on the outlook of art, said Ramesh Rao, president of artist forum.

22 participants from various art schools presented their art; which will be on display for five days at the Vision art school gallery.     

Lalithakala academy honorary wwardee Ramesh Rao along with his wife, felicitated the Vision art artists.    

Sathish Rao Iddiya was present on the occasion.

Saku Pangala compered the programme while Shwetha Rao welcomed the attendees.
