Mangalore: Udaya Prakashana Inaugurated, Publications Released

Mangalore, Oct 25: Udaya Prakashana was inaugurated and six book publications were released here at the Town hall on Tuesday October 23.

Dr M Mohan Alva, president of Alva’s education foundation inaugurated the programme by watering a plant.

Speaking on the occasion, he wished Udaya Prakashana to grow to a greater level by prospering  literature.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Aravind Malagathi, professor of Mysore University said that Dakshina Kannada has improved in education, health, agriculture, sports, literature, art, journalism, social service but due to the establishment of Udaya Prakashana let it produce literature in abundant, he wished.

On the occasion, Udaya Prakashan publications like ‘Kannadambeya Varputhra Harikrishna Punarooru’, written by Salettur Faizi; ‘Thekkil Chiguru’ and ‘Bannada Hoogalu’ poetry anthology by Muliya Shankarbhat; ‘Bharathada Rashtrapathigalu, Pradhanigalu, Karnatakada Mukyamantrigalu’ and ‘Raste Niyama mattu Surakshate’ by Sajipa Mohammed Nasir; ‘Soundaryada Guttu’ by Sharmila Dilip Kumar, were released.

Dilip Kumar, director, welcomed the gathering, Vittala Nayak compered and Sajipa Mohammed Nasir, director delivered vote of thanks.

Moses Jayashekar, deputy director of public education board; Abdul Khader Amchinadka, Bangalore RM Group Chairman; Harikrishna Punaruru, Karnataka Sahitya Parishad former president; Stany Alvares, Mandd Sobhan president; TM Shahid, Haider Parthippady, Tulunadu Aikyata  Vedike, K Ravindra Shetty, Haji Hammed Kandak, member of southern railway advisory committee among others were present.
