Udupi: Three Youths Arrested on Suspicion, Jewellary Worth Rs 2.5 lac Seized

Udupi, Oct 26: Udupi city police arrested three youths roaming around in a suspicious manner near Rajangana parking area on Thursday October 25.

The arrested have been identified as Sudhir Devadiga (23) of Adamar, Rajesh Nayak(20) of Indrali Durga and Vijayalaxmi (22).

Udupi city inspector H Lingaraju who was on rounds near Rajangana parking found the youth moving with some material. When they were unable to give any answers they were taken in for questioning. On interrogation they revealed that they earlier attempted for a theft at Tankapete Padmashree jewellary store, but failed. They had returned back for theft at the same store.

Police have recovered gold and silver jewellary worth Rs 2,50,000.

A case has been registered by Udupi city police. Investigation is on.
