Udupi, Oct 31: A vehicle carrying boxes of beer overturned following a tyre blast near Sharada Mantap here on Tuesday October 30.
The vehicle was transporting the beer boxes from Manipal to Malpe.
The vehicle, a Road Star, belongs to Manipal-based KSBCL.
No injuries were reported in the incident. However, the beer spilled on to the road and several boxes of beer were wasted.
Altogether, beer worth Rs 7 lac was being transported in the vehicle, and a loss of Rs 1 lac was reported.
Traffic was affected following the incident and vehicles were diverted to another route.
