Udupi, Oct 31: Police on Tuesday October 30 allegedly assaulted a Bajrang Dal convener when he went to the police station to enquire about his friend’s property.

The incident took place in Udupi city police station, where Bajrang Dal convener Anil Santhekatte was allegedly beaten up by Manipal SI Eshwar Nayak and constable Lokesh.

Following the alleged assault, the Bajrang Dal and BJP Yuva Morcha members protested in front of the Manipal police station.

Udupi DySP Prabhudev B and CPI Maruthi G Nayak visited the station and controlled the mob. Anil narrated the incident to the DySP, and after detailed investigation of the matter, the DySP submitted the report to SP Abhishek Goyal.

On the basis of the report and other factors, SP Abhishek Goyal ordered the transfer of SI Eshwar Nayak and constable Lokesh, said sources.

This goes to prove that Bhajrangis can assault any one provoked or unprovoked! Their atrocity is fine. Others can not confront Bhajarangi's! This gives a wrong signal until state govt is changed.
