Bantwal: Rickshaw Topples, Five Including Driver Injured

Bantwal, Nov 7: An auto rickshaw transporting school children toppled near the BC road flyover as the driver lost control here on Tuesday November 6.

The impact of the incident  resulted in the injury of  four children along with the driver

The injured are identified as driver Sidique (26), Modankaup, Ashritha (8), Nasha (14), Nisha (14) and Tasrif (14) studying at  Infant jesus primary school. The driver Sidique is said to be critical.

All the injured were rushed to a hospital at BC Road and shifted to a hospital in Mangalore.

As per the information received, the reason behind the accident was a cut in the axel of the rickshaw as a result of which the driver lost control and toppled. The incident took place while the students were returnign home from school.

A case has been registered at Bantwal city police station.
