Mangalore: KSRTC Conductor Dies as Bus Drives Over

Mangalore, Dec 1: A KSRTC bus conductor was killed as he fell under the bus tyre at the KSRTC bus stand in Bejai here on Friday November 30.

Veerupaksha Sajjan Betageri (46) belonged to the Koppala district and he had been working for the past 12 years as a conductor of the bus from the Koppala depot. The bus travels from Mangalore to Gangamati.

On Friday November 30 in the morning the bus reached Mangalore while it left to fill fuel around 3:30 pm.

At the Kuntikan petrol station as the bus filled diesel, the conductor was directing the bus to move towards its left during which he fell under the left tyre and his head smashed into the ground.

He died even before admitting him to a hospital. A case has been registered.
