Belthangady: Leopard Falls Into Well While Chasing a Cat, Rescued

Belthangady, Dec 2: A leopard which strayed from the forest, fell into a well belonging to Saguna while chasing a cat near Kuralia, here, on Saturday December 1 at around 1.30 am.

The forest officials were unable to bring it out till Saturday noon.

A long piece of wood was lowered down so that it could come out which finally worked at the end.

The forest department officials and locals finally succeeded in rescuing the leopard after a long operation.

"The place is surrounded by forest and many leopards roam around in night", said Krishna Prasad, a resident.
