Mangalore: RC-KSCA Cricket Academy to be Inaugurated on Dec 10

Mangalore, Dec 5: “The new venture of Karnataka State Cricket Association(KSCA) – the RC-KSCA Academy will be inaugurated at the Sahyadri College Campus in Adyar on December 10 at 11 am”, said Dr Srikanth Rai, convener of the KSCA, Mangalore Zone.

He was addressing the media persons at the press conference held in the press club on Wednesday December 5.

Nitte University pro-chancellor Dr Shantharam Shetty will open the academy for nurturing cricket talent in the Mangalore zone of KSCA, which consists of DK, Udupi and Kodagu districts.

KSCA president Anil Kumble, secretary Javagal Srinath, Sudhakar Rao, J Abhiram will also be present on the occasion.

KSCA is planning infrastructure development at two places in Mangalore and one at Moodbidri and the work will begin shortly and will be completed by next year. With this there will be three full-fledged turf grounds for cricket.

A press meet has also been arranged at Sahyadri College meeting hall at 10.30 am on the same day, which will be addressed by Javagal Srinath and Anil Kumble, he said.

Managing committee members of the association, Madhava Marla, Dr Anand and Venugopal were also present at the press meet.
