Mangalore: Minor Girl Raped by Two near B C Road

Mangalore, Dec 6: Two men reportedly fooled a girl, took her in the car and allegedly raped her near B C Road near here on Wednesday December 5.

The accused are identified as Ismail, resident of B C Road and Rahim, resident of Uppal. The duo allegedly raped a 13-year old girl and then left her near Devinagar in Talapady.

With help from locals, the girl was handed over to her parents and then admitted to a hospital in Deralakatte.

As per the information received, a Muslim woman, mother of the minor girl rented a house belonging to Ismail at K C Road. When the mother was out, Ismail is said to have taken the girl, telling that he would buy clothes for her. She was then intoxicated and the duo allegedly raped her.

The incident came to light when people gathered near Devinagar in search of a watch that the Mosque head had lost.

Sources said that the girl was studying in a residential school at Deralakatte.

The accused are absconding and a case has been registered in the Ullal police station.

    @ Anil , mangalore , but age of consent now increased to 18 from 16 , with exception of marriage. @ Robert , udupi. Agree bro. Dhannjay Chattergie hanged in kolkotta ( 2004) , for just getting physical with minor and killing her ( prima witness but 'killing' had not been confirmed ). He got hanged becoz he was poor and cannot defend his case in court . A black day on indian judiciary . ..../ well in the above case , stupid ismail should have shown some maturity. If he realy loved , he should have married her first ( nikah ). Once married clauses like rape will not apply even if girl is minor. Now he is caught in mud. Pity on him!.

    I totally agree with Roshan comment.As per news her age is 13 so she is not an underaged girl and also she can think why this person giving cloths to me.With the proper investigation truth will reveal.

    What you are commenting, This is not a Gulf country, There is no such punishment happened in Indian History, accept one happened at calcutta, because he was Very poor, As per recent survey an average 30-40 womens (including minors) are raped in India, do you hanged all 40 per day. if so then no crime will happpen in India, Police, Lawers have no work at all.     In most of the cases its consensual sex , just becoz her age is lower is age of consent , so it comes under 'statutary rape'. Looks like boy knew girls family and she went out with them willingly . Something fishy , in most of the cases peaple only blame boys . Some girls at this age elope with boys , so they can be arrested too?.
