Kundapur: Lorry Rams into Building, Huge Loss Incurred

Kundapur, Dec 8: A lorry rammed into a building after the driver lost control over the vehicle near Thekkatte National Highway 66 on Friday December 7.

The accident incident took place around 2.30 am. The lorry was plying from Ankola towards Mangalore.
The lorry first hit an electric pole and then hit Ganesh wines after which it rammed into a nearby building. The front part of the lorry is completely damaged.

Sources said that the lorry was driven by Pavan. The accident took place when Pavan lost control of the vehicle when he tried to avoid hitting another vehicle approaching from the front. Cleaner Girish suffered minor injuries while driver Pavan escaped unhurt.

As the lorry hit electric pole, the power supply was disrupted and a loss of Rs 25,000 was incurred.

A case has been filed in Kota police station, said Babanna Poojary, junior engineer of MESCOM.
