Mangalore: RSS Members Walk in Unison as Preparation for Vibhag Sanghik

Mangalore, Dec 9: RSS local unit on Sunday December 9 organized a march from three places, culminating at Nehru Maidan, as part of its preparations for Vibhag Sanghik to be held on February 3, 2013.

The first group marched from Dongarakeri through Car Street - Sharavu Temple - PM Road - K S Rao Road - Hampanakatta.

The second group marched from Ramakrishna School, Bunts Hostel through Dr Ambedkar circle - Balmatta road and reached Hampanakatta.

The third group walked from Balmatta Shanthi Nilaya Maidan through Athena Hospital - Falinir road and reached Hampanakatta.

The three groups intersected at Hampanakatta and marched together to Nehru Maidan.

Hundreds of RSS activists, from young children to the elderly and even a differently-abled person, took part in the march.

RSS leader Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat addressed the activists at Nehru Maidan and asked them to prepare well for the upcoming mega convention. He urged them to be united and work together for the success of the event. The activists were also briefed on the upcoming convention.

RSS unit sangachalak Dr Vaman Shenoy and city Sangachalak Damodar Nisarga were present.

I congratulate for your patriotic views expressed on Mohandas Kapikad Mangalore comments on this article.

You are absolutely right by saying Hindus themselves have questioned the motives behind RSS activities which are not in the interest of a secular and democratic India.

RSS, Ram Sene, Shiv Sena (Thackrey), Bajrang Dal, Mutalik and corrupt BJP politicians are bent upon fuelling communal hatred for the sake of realising their evil ambitions in India.

I have read his views giving the impressions that NRIs are a bunch of people who are anti India and so on.

As I live outside India, am no less patriotic than this Mohan Kapikad by any means and measures.

I appreciate your question. You should ask such questions and not like Mohandas Kapikad who says RSS is getting funds from Volunteers. If the accounts of RSS are seen by the competent authorities it is clearly visible they are getting funds from foreign countries and the Christian institutions getting money from aboard was severed by Indian fundamentals working underground with the governments. Whereas the RSS and the other organizations are getting foreign funds unabatedly which you are not commenting and hide.

Why people are hating RSS and why people complain to supreme court if their charity is genuine?! Even the Hindus are also complain about RSS.

Secondly, what is the problem with you if I am in Bannur, Puttur and Mangalore. I love my country and I have the right to stay anywhere in India.

Thirdly, those people of Orissa whose houses were burnt and chased from their houses and places where they have to stay in kapikaad, Mangalore, Orissa.

Is this all from volunteer’s money. Use some common sense how they get money for all these activates. Concerning to social work of the RSS who weighs the journals figures anybody?!

RSS has dress code(uniform) laid since its begining, & not as per choice of Aubb, Kuwait. RSS does not go behind funds & its service can be judged by its past records. Most of its events since decades are sponsored by its voluneteers. Some like Joseph F. Gonsalves, Bannur, Puttur / Mangalore, may think otherwise of only money. He may be of different locations of Bannur or Puttur or Mangalore, but not RSS. In past it was banned in 3 different occasions, & of course Supreme Courts turned down this ban, & uplifted the verdict in favour of RSS.

RSS Swayam Sevaks should participate in Nithya Shakha (Daily Meeting)and do some Light Yoga Practices and Sports for their mental and physical health. That is why they always wear "Shakha Trouser". Abedh Shetty, that will be the last thing to do in my life. I have much more better orgnisations who selflessly serve the needy and sick irrespective of religion, caste, language and always keep themselves away from media and publicity. They know they are rewarded by God & never expect anything in return from human beings for their service. They do not march with sticks and gather to show the strength to world. My question to you is :

Why not RSS use the same "dress code?" in public in daily life, so that people can stop by and salute them for their voluntary services you claim they "had" done....???

Somebody help me remember when was the last time we ever heard of RSS in the limelight for a social/national cause?? May be RSS started with a noble objective of maintaining the national integrity, But where do we see them demonstrate this today? Its great to show your numbers by going out in streets in large processions, but show your strength by indulging in noble cause.. Millions are homeless, without food, children die of hunger, female foeticide, dowry harrasment, civic issues , mass health issues, illiteracy... the list will go on.. Why dont you guys take one cause and act?? We dont need anyone to preach culture or indulge in moral policing with us, we dont need anyone to question us about our love for this nation. Who are you to do so? what gives you the right? if you truely think you you want to unite yourself and the nation, then do so for a good cause.

Agree, they also have active role in all violence India has seen post-independence. RSS doen't need any advice as to how to function. Already it has given good voluntary service in past cases of Earthquakes in Maharastra, Cyclone in AP, in many cases Train Accidents in Northern India, during Indo-China War, during Indo-Pak war, etc. Many dont no the basic functioning of RSS & straightaway pass comments. It looks beyond caste & has great love towards patriotism. Those who where/are in touch with RSS can know this better. Including Dhanda, all the dress code which was laid in the begining is still maintained as dress code. Only Pseudos can keep blindly blaming RSS.

Furthermore Sadhvi prajna, Karnal purohith & Aseemanad these are belongs to one of the organisations of RSS. Who involved in Bombay riots & Gujarath riots? Its RSS and its sub organisations. What else you need to clear your doubts. People are not fool to simply blame RSS. Even our P.Chidambaram clearly told that india is facing the threat of saffron terrorism. I noticed that always in every issue whether related or not majority of the people get some pleasure to link RSS and blame it for everything. I am not a supporter but a observer and notice all that activities reported in & by media.I am yet to come across any news about RSS workers that involved in gang fights,chopping the hands,manufacturing of arms and exlplosives,rapes,robberies etc .I will be pleased if any one be kind enough to publish (genuine) list of atrocities instead of blaming with ignorance. At the same time I request RSS seniors to publish all the activities in all the parts of India.This will help to clear the cloud.

India does not depend on RSS for the nation development. It needs Foreign Direct Investment. Recently they don't get childrens to mind wash , because all the childrens are now busy with their education and the education is now very competitive, parents are not sending their children to participate RSS drill every morning. Gradually this RSS will be vanished in India. I am sad to see Prabhaker Bhat who is facing FRI sitting openly.

But where is this big force when Mangalore faces different kind of crisis? I do not find them at any 'SEVA' opportunities, be it for women, men, children or differently abled?

yet, Happy, that they are in such numbers and such eminet people. Only thing is, it is an inactive force when it comes to humanitarian causes, or national causes.

Permission is not granted for any minority organization to march in Nehru Maidan, EVEN WITHOUT STICKS, but for RSS everything is allowed. If RSS does it is patriotism, and if others do it is terrorism.

Dear Rohith Shetty, Hebri / London, you are in London because you did not join RSS.There are many people who are in RSS who have not seen any cities outside Mangalore. The leaders who are on the stage never been out of the country. What you expect from these leaders who themselves scared of going out of the state. They create a wave in among people and this wave makes them feel great about it when they are in big numbers at one place. The moment you are out the of this wave then you carry a fear to face this world. This is what has happened here. Many of these leaders created thunder waves in the city and state but they have a fear of life so they never travel out of the state.Just take the example of Bal Thackaray,have you seen him out of Maharashtra?. Have you seen these leaders on the stage visiting UK or USA.Do you think this dress code is accepted in UK.You made a right choice at right time.

I still remember one of my neighbor who is an active RSS activist luring me to join this organization. I was impressed for a moment. But, thanks to my dad who rightly guided me about its affiliation to parties who promote communal agenda. Thank you, Dad. Today I am a secular Indian.
I should also tell what happened to that activist. He has now left home and serving at RSS camps across India and never see his parents in last 7 years. His poor father was in tears last year I visited my native.

Why RSS march only in Mangalore? Why this is not found in Mumbai or Bangalore. The state is going to be a victim of Hindutva politics once again. What these people are going to prove? Why not march on August 15 or January 26? Why the DC deny permission for other organizations to march at Nehru Maiden on August 15. Dear RSS soldiers, People may go fools sometimes but not all the times...The starch on the Khaki goes wet by your sweat ,and your long carrying stick is not permitted by the Indian constitution.

Do they preach and practice, all Indian are my brothers & Sisters?
Do they serve most neglected deprived, weaker sections of the society so that our land will be blessed like the minority community do as per their scriptures command ?
Do they object to practicing and professing of some minority's faith which is well within constitutional right?
It is being practiced by the majority community also all over the world, which is well within their rights!
May be yes, may be no, I don't know, but it is always better for a Countrymen to look at GOOD in others also preach and practice brotherhood in overall interest, unity and well being of its citizens.

I do agree with u one should respect Indian Anthem “Janaganamana…”. But why some of the RSS men I know, while they respect Indian Anthem “Janaganamana…”in their RSS sangachalak meet or convention, the same people walk out, while during the end of school functions which leads to me many doubt.

As u have mentioned which other organisation respect Indian Anthem “Janaganamana". There are many registered/unregistered groups social and cultural, at the end of the function, they do respect “Janaganamana…and sing the Anthem “Janaganamana…as what we do, it for the motherland.

After all, all who are in Indian soil and Indian Passport holders should respect Indian National Anthem “Janaganamana".

I want to suggest to all who criticize RSS that, You please join to any shakha, worldwide ( RSS is active in more than 50 Countries) for a time of 1 year and see their philosophy and work. RSS is a group of pure patriot volunteers who think and work of the India and its people. There is absolutely no differentiation based on Gender, Cast, and Religion& Financial status.
RSS is the first one to come in Rescue in all the disasters and all the natural calamities.
Please have hand on experience and then criticize the RSS.
Membership is open for all who love their motherland India.

Dear friends, Rashrtiya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) by its name is not at all communal. I also don't believe that its mission has anything communal either, although I am not familiar with the organization's founding and running since its inception. For a moment, let us consider that we are all Hindus in Patriotic point of view. I am of the strong opinion that this organization can be extended to all communities as a national institute for patriotic studies and thus remove the hatred associated with the organization. Any takers for this idea?
