Mangalore, Dec 12: "The Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal are furious over the demolition of Sri Ram Temple in the southern city of Karachi in Pakistan," said Jagadish Shenava, secretary of VHP.

He was speaking at a protest staged in this regard near the DC's office here on Tuesday December 11.

Shenava said that Hindus being minorities in Pakistan are facing continuous harassment by the locals over there, which was not acceptable.

Addressing the audience, M B Puranik, VHP divisional president said that every person has right to freedom. "But we see many temples being demolished there. This should not happen. Such harassment is not faced by minorities in our country," he added.

"The demolition of the temple has shattered the Hindus and given rise to fear among them. The problem is that there is no safety and protection for minority communities in Pakistan," he said.

"Hence, we demand the government to take strict action on the matter and to facilitate the reconstruction of the temple soon," he added.

Krishnamoorthy, chief secretary, in his address said that the Indian government seems to be least bothered on the matter. "We find violence against Hindus in other countries but so far nothing has been done for their security," he said.

Manohar Tulajram, president of VHP, Gopal Kuthar, secretary, Bhujand Kulal, convenor, Kateel Dinesh Pai, Pradeep Pumpwell, Praveen Kateel and Ganesh Kumpala were present among others.

I can provide you more such proofs if you need. Just visit my blog and I have only quoted from the books written by Golwalkar. How he had promoted violence and wanted to treat the religious minorities.

Looking at the pics, don't you feel that the Bajrang Dalis are well fed ( 3 times a day ) at home ? No doubt they have the energy to protest in the hot sun and wasting so many man hours.

Mr.Jagdish Mumbai / UAE, If the Bajrang Dalis go to Pakistan they will be trained and sent back by the LeT .Better that they remain in Mangalore itself and eat Ganji !

Let's not make this into a "them" vs. "us". Looking objectively, what happened in Pakistan is deplorable and should be condemned universally by Muslims and Christians alike. And I truly believe all Muslims and Christians feel the same way too, but they are forgetting the main issue and bashing the VHP for what appears to be a peaceful protest against a genuine violation of religious freedom in another country.

If the VHP utters a single word against fellow Indians on the basis of their religion, I'll be the first to condemn them and I always have. But if this is just a peaceful protest without spewing hate against minorities in India, I don't see any wrong in that.

While one may argue that the VHP has done similar things and I agree that they have, one wrong doesn't justify another. Just as the Sabarmati tragedy didn't justify Godhra riots or the Babri demolition didn't justify the riots that followed. Let's not behave like them in being ive in our fights for justice.

When Babri masjid & many holy places in mangalore attacked I bet you all are involved...jobless goons can only protest ...beat up women...poor Hindus in Pakistan has been I'll treated for years and no one has done anything about it. Indian govt should support Hindus through funding or hiring agents in peak who can create havoc like they do in India.

Whom we constantly remember and refer would become our Role Model not by choice but by default.
Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Burma etc. are all rogue states! B.D. why you always want to remember and refer them? If you want to prosper refer West or Malaysia, Gulf, Japan etc.
Do you think your protest in Mangalore will have any positive difference in Pakistan?
Talibanis are attacking Pakistani Secularists! are you aware?
If you can, carve out separate state for Hindus in Pakistan or else just submit a memorandum to their high commission so that if it doesn't help, atleast no harm will be done to your counterparts.

We all know that PAKISTAN stands withthe worst countries when it comes to issues like religious freedom and the human rights .We in no way can compare INDIA with PAKISTAN simply because we command a good respect from developed and civilised world except for some issues like gujarat or orissa and recently in karnataka which were the creation of few organisations who do not care for our image on international level ,but only for religious votes..Off course we have every right to protest temple demolition if it was done simply to hurt minorities..but that protest would have been more meaningfull if it was done by some organisation with a very clean record themselves

Shaz, Mangalore/Dubai, your comments are 100% true. Beleive it or not, Gulf countries (except KSA) are truly praiseworty for their religious tolerance. Bahrain is a role model where the rulers have donated land & financial support for the construction of churches. Even a beautiful Hindu Temple is located in the heart of the city and Hindus are practising their faith with full freedom. With regard to employment, they never show any interest in checking the religion, but, employ people purely on merit. It is very unfortunate to experience the situation in our own country. May God bless these Arabs with more and more wealth. I wish these Bajjis visit few of these countries and change their cow dung filled head.

Some times I am constrained to concede the fact that what Justice Katju has said may be true i., 90% of Indians are idiots. This is so because even today lot of people think that Babri masjid was demolished, but the fact is that the place is Ram temple enchroched and named as Babri masjid.
Another fact is that in the history since time immemorial,Hindus never ever attached any worship places of other communities or indulged in riots on first instance. All alleged references by illiterates are only defending/retaliatory actions.A truth factor can not be untruth even if one says it so many lakhs of times.

The world class fecilities and freedom they enjoy here, they dont get it anywhere.. And u bajrangi bafoons plz look at your own coller first before you point at others...

No body bothers about what exactly has happend incase of Babri Masjid a temple complex was demolished and over that masjid was built illegally . Probably all the great citizens whohave written that go and fight at Pakistan the same may be applied to all such issues and repsective groups can go to their original country ang fight for their causes. We all know how many times India has been invaded and how many temples have been converted in to others payer places . By such mentality only the so called majorities are having problems in India because the cuplrits are witihn the Hindus only not others. as far as these people are there there is no point in agruements it is the moral repsonsiblity of the each individuals to think what exactly is happening.

First of all, I am not Pro-Pakistan. Shenava said that Hindus being minorities in Pakistan are facing continuous harassment by the locals over there, which was not acceptable. Hello Bajji, read my personal experience in Mumbai, Virar: During Babri Masjid, a fimaily of 8 Hindus from Pakistan migrated to India with a hope that Indian government and Hindus will support them. They opened a Restaurant with whatever finance they had. However, the Foreigner's Registration office in Thane made their life miserable by calling them daily in view to harass them, due to which they lost their business. In addition, the greedy and heartless officers from Thane & from Virar Police Station were filling their drum size bellies in migrated Pakistani's restaurant during weekend free of cost. "All of us should have died in Pakistan at one time instead of dying every day here" were the exact words of desperate Hindu Pakistani's words. Useless Bajjis roar in their hometown, but, outside they are worst than rats. Go out from your village and see the world to change your mindset you all 'Halli Guggus". Where were you when your animals desecrated our most holy places of worship ? Where were you when Babri Masjid, an old monument was razed by brainless creatures under the blessing of Jinnah's follower ? Better engage in upliftment of society than gathering to fool the people.

If anyone of the above group is invited to go to Pakistan or to the border to protest, I bet, no one will be there...These are coward group good in killing its own citizens and harrasing them. Even I dont like Pakistan. Every nation should protect its citizens be it majority or minorities..These group is here not with a purpose but to enjoy a drink after the event...Its their coulture and there are thousands of examples to prove it. If they really mean protest, they should do it with grace by following a proper protocol...Why this group didnt hold protest when Babri masjid was demolished, when churches and grettos were vandalised...Are they the only group entitled to protect their places of worship and religion...???? If a mandir is demolished, I am sure Hindu sentiments are hurt. What about the sentiments of muslims when a masjid is demolished... Why double standards... Only hindus have sentiments and muslims dont have any sentiments??????
