UAE Group Helps 70,000 Yemeni Families


Abu Dhabi, Dec 19 (IANS/WAM): Around 70,000 needy families in Yemen have benefitted from food aid provided by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Humanitarian Foundation.

Under a grant of 500 million dirhams announced by President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, 35,000 families in Hudaida, 30,000 in Abyan and 5,000 in Socotra Island benefitted from the assistance.

Each parcel contained 150 kg of basic food items.
