Udupi: 'Tunch Moga' Konkani Album to Release at USWAS Decennial Event

Udupi, Dec 20: USWAS (St Mary's Welfare Association, Shirva) a well-known association in UAE presents 'Tunch Moga', a new Konkani album composed by Prashanth Sequeira, Shirva and Nelson Mathias, Pernal as part of its 10th year anniversary. The album has tunes that are suitable for all generations. The album will be released on December 30 during USWAS Dashamanotsav event to be held at Shirva.
The young and talented composers released their first Konkani album 'Yo Moga' two years back. The album was liked and appreciated by many people in Mangalore as well as in the Gulf countries. Some of the hit songs like 'Don kalza ek zali' sung by Prakash D'Souza and Ivy D'Souza, 'Tu muja mogacho' by Babita Pinto, 'Yo Moga' title song by Johnson Crasta, Kavya by Anil D'Sa and Avoy Bapoy sung by Anita D'Souza are being played by live bands and DJs all over Mangalore, Mumbai and Gulf countries.
With good response and support from the Konkani loving people Prashanth and Nelson are now back with their second venture 'Tunch Moga'. This album comprises 12 melodious songs and a remix song of their previous album Yo Moga which is already popular and liked by the young generation. 'Tunch Moga' includes 'Lagna Bhes' sung by Prakash D'Souza and Ivy D'Souza, Sopnanth Doschya by Babita Pinto, 'Tunch Moga' title song by Joel Rebello, 'Sasnak Mog' by Johnson Crasta, 'Kaljanthlo Ho Ujo' by Adolf Jayatilak and Anita D'Souza, 'Sobhay Moji' by Lavita Lobo, 'Haav Ani Tum' by Nisha Lobo and Prashanth Sequeira, 'Punveche Raati' by Anil D'Sa, 'Mog Jala' by Prakash D'Souza, 'Don Jeev' by Rubina Furtado and Nelson Mathias, 'Kite kite zatha' by Arun Danthy and Zeena Pereira and USWAS theme song which is composed by Fr Valerian Mendonca, Shirva / Barkur parish priest and sung by Prashanth Sequeira, and 'Yo Moga' song sung by Joel Rebello (Elysium) and remixed by Darrel Mascarenhas (Elysium).
The lyrics are written by well-known lyricist and poet Anil D'Souza, Pernal, Wilfred R Pangla, Annu-Bantwal and Ajith D'Souza. All the lyrics are written in a simple way that anyone can understand the songs and feel their beauty.
Roshan D'Souza, Anjelore, who is one of the famous music director in Mangalore has sequenced and arranged the music for this album. In order to give more feel to the songs live instruments have been added, played by known musicians in their respective field. Alwyn Fernandes a well-known ace guitarist in Kannada film industry has played acoustic, lead and Rhythm guitar, Jerome Coelho, a known bass guitarist in Mangalore has played bass guitar, Ramiro Mascarenhas a famous known music director and music arranger from Goa, who is very popular in Dubai for his music has played trumpet. Musicians from Kerala Shaju Vadiyal and Mani Vadiyal have played solo and group violins, Nikil Ram has played Soprano/Alto saxophone and Flute. Darrel Mascarenhas who is the drummer in famous Mangalore rock band Elysium, has programed the Rhythms of this album. The entire album is mixed, mastered and additionally programed by Darrel Mascarenhas (Elysium).
The audio recording of this album was done in Sandesha digital studio, Mangalore by Joel Pereira and Roshan D'Souza and also recorded in Dubai and Mumbai.
The album cover is designed by Wilson D'Souza-Phonex Studio, Shirva and photo by Ranjan Kumar at Broadway Event Management, Abu Dhabi.

About the composers
Prashanth Sequeira, who belongs to Shirva parish, is a good keyboard musician, guitarist, a singer and is presently working in Dubai. He has arranged the music for 'Pearl Voice Junior' organised by Pearls of Mangalore held at Abu Dhabi in 2011. He was the semi-finalist for the Gulf Voice of Mangalore-3 in Dubai, his song Kanto and Yo Moga were liked and appreciated by the entire crowd who gathered for the competition. He is a team member of Broadway Event Management, Abu Dhabi, where he conducts one man band for the weekend parties in Dubai and in Abu Dhabi. He is an active member of USWAS and will lead cultural committee for the year 2013.
Nelson Mathias, on the other hand belongs to Pernal Parish currently working in Dubai. He is also a talented musician, composer and singer. He has been a good keyboardist and has conducted and directed many choirs in Pernal and in Mumbai. He was also an active member of ICYM and other association in the parish. He has also received many awards in singing competition during college days.
'Sasnak Mog' songs video from the album Tunch Moga
‘Sasnak Mog' is a beautiful and heart touching song composed by Prashanth and Nelson. To promote Konkani language and Konkani songs the composers have made a video of this song. Jostin D'Sa and Reshma D'Sa are the lovely married couple who have acted in this video along with Prashanth and Nelson. The video is recorded in Abudhabi and in Dubai location by Clod Roshan Nazareth, assisted by Ranjan Kumar and Sachin Noronha, Directed by Annu, Bantwal . USWAS, in the UAE, is a group of dedicated members born in or belonging to the parish of Our Lady of Health Church, Shirva, from the Udupi Diocese. This well-established Association came into existence on December 20, 2002 under the leadership of Franky D'Souza and has consistently rendered selfless service to society in various fields during the past 10 years.
