Mangalore: Police Refuse to Accept Complaint of Police Officer’s Son

Mangalore, Jan 12: In an incident that took place in Manipal, the police refused to register complaint given by a senior police officer’s son after he lost his valuables in an accident.

Sangram, pursuing MTech in Manipal is the son of a senior police officer from Mangalore.

Sources said that senior officers in Udupi are informed about the incident.

In connection with the incident, Manipal police said that the accident spot has been examined. The four persons who claimed to be auto drivers and admitted injured Sangram to hospital have given a written statement that they did not find any valuables at the accident spot adding the injured did not register any complaint about the accident.

However the matter is being investigated by senior officials, said police sources.

    This is normal in most of the police stations. If this can happen to the son of police officer, then what can happen to common people..??????

    I do agree wid u sallu in delhi rape case no one came to help the injured. The reason is in india if u loiter around any accident spot first police or locals suspect and arrest the person who helps him. Thatswhy good samaritans not coming to help any one bcoz of indian bull$#!t law

    this is what happens to anyone trying to help wounded or any other person in distress, in India. That or those person will be doubted, asked to give written statements, and will be called umpteen times to the police station\court.
    Surely the police will beat\hammer them too and many a times charge them falsely too.

    In India one cannot be a good samaritan unless one is inclined to commit a sort of suicide (harakiri). Hence people see, feel pity but walk away from the scene.

    Police always look for easier way to solve cases with them.

    If this police force is not cleansed, taught what is honour is all about and taken action against them for falsely charging innocent people, I do not think ANYONE will come forward to help anyone.
