Mangalore: Drug Peddlers Arrested - Brown Sugar, Ganja, Revolvers Seized

Mangalore, Jan 15: CCB police arrested two persons who were allegedly peddling ganja and brown sugar, and confiscated 650 grams of ganja, 30 packets of brown sugar and a revolver from their possession on Monday January 14.

CCB police along with taluk magistrate Ravichandra Nayak, based on reliable information, attacked them near Fortune complex on the Sturrock Road, where the duo on their Honda Active bike were selling brown sugar and ganga.

The arrested have been identified as Muhammad Aftab Shaali alias Shanu (25), resident of Falnir and Ashraf (35) from Kasargod.

It is learnt that the accused possessed 30 small packets of brown sugar. They sold each packet for Rs 1,500.

22 revolvers and bullets illegally possessed by accused Muhammad Aftab Shaali, Rs 1,850 cash, passport, credit cards, and a Honda Active bike have been seized. The total value of the seized items is estimated to be Rs 1,34,850.

The accused brought brown sugar, ganja from Kerala and sold, police informed.
