Mangalore, Jan 19: Janatha Dal (secular) staged a protest against the union government for not taking necessary action against Pakistan for killing and beheading the two Indian soldiers. They also condemned the discriminative rule of state government in Karnataka. The protest was staged in front of DC office on Friday January 18.
Addressing the protestors, Shrinath Rai working president of Youth JD(S) said that Pakistan soldiers crossed the LOC and killed the Indian soldiers.Though India received several treats from Pakistanis, UPA leaders were mute spectators showing their coward nature without responding to the death of soldiers. Even when the Sarpanch was shot in Kashmir, UPA did not give any statement regarding the issue, he said.
He demanded the central government to give proper answer to Pakistan.
T Krishnappa Poojary, president of Dakshina Kannada Youth JD(S) lambasted the union government.
“Due to the selfish politics of UPA, Mohammed Ali Jinnah divided India. In over 65 year of Independence UPA has never responded to problems of the state. UPA is fooling people in the name of ‘Padayathre’ in Karnataka”, he said.
He also demanded that the severed head of the martyred soldier be brought back from Pakistan. The youth will not rest till the severed head of the soldier is brought back, he added.
He also demanded for immediate action. In future, people will never vote for UPA. JD(S) will create alertness with awareness programmes, he said.
He criticized the state government and said BJP government has betrayed the people of Karnataka, looting the common man. Rape, harassment and molestation cases are increasing in the state. State government never showed concern for women. There are over 15,000 widows of soldiers and the government is not providing proper facilities to them, he said.
“Just like a mother takes care of her children, soldiers protect us in the border. India is land of tolerance. Pakistan has provoked us by beheading the soldiers for which India will surely give a proper answer”, said Aboobakar Amunje.
M G Hegde said that with large number of youths India has sufficient strength to fight back against Pakistanis. Pakistan, China, America are indirectly plotting for war. He demanded UPA to give right answer for their heinous act.
Vahid Khan, Santhosh Jake, B K Hariprasad Rai, Akshith Suvarna, Sudarshan Bantwal and Krishnappa A P among other leaders were present.
