Mangalore, Jan 19: The annual inter-collegiate sports meet organized under the auspices of Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust Colleges was inaugurated at 9 am on Saturday January 19 by Vijayanath Vittal Shetty, managing trustee of Shree Shasthavu Boothanatheswara Temple Mijar.

The inaugurator emphasized the need for the involvement of the young boys and girls in sports events. He being the organizer of the village level annual sports events which has been going on since last two days in nearby village invited the gathering.

Presiding over the function, Dr M R Shetty, secretary of the trust wished for the success of the event which is being celebrated since the last 26 years.

Professor Kathyayini, principal of nursing college welcomed the gathering.

Physical director Manohar proposed the vote of thanks.

Meryl Colaco of Physiotheraphy College performed the master of the ceremony.
 
Later various sports events were conducted and winners awarded.
