Brahma Kalashabhisheka held at Panchalingeshwara Temple

Bantwal, Jan 22: "Through worship we can make god happy and this is proved in Vittal. This is a proud moment of celebration for Hindus. Any honor given to god within the boundaries of religion will be fruitful. Let god shower his blessings to protect this country, religion, culture," said Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math.

He addressed the gathering during Brahmakalashotsava celebration at Sri Panchalingeshwara temple in Vittal here on Monday January 21.

On the occasion, Swamiji released a memorial issue ‘Panchakshari’ by retired principal M Ananthakrishna Hebbar.

Raghavendra Bharathi Swamiji of Hosanagar Sri Ramachandrapur Math blessed the occasion and said Vittal temple is the crown of coastal district. "This is a classical temple not found in any other part of the world," he added.

Sri Vidhyaprasanna Swamiji of Subramanya Math said the wood sculpture in the temple have been done beautifully asked people to visit the temple daily. "Through Jathrotsava celebration we invoke god," he said.

Odiyoor Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji in his address said that the temple has created several records and has become an essential lifeline for many. He asked people to be within the limits of the religion so as to prevent problems.

D Harshendra Kumar of Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala expressed his joy on the success of Brahmakalashotsava.

On behalf of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, a bronze vessel to store Kumkum was offered to the shrine.

LN Kadoor, renovation committee president welcomed the gathering, U S Vishweshwara Bhat compered while Subrayya Pai, treasurer delivered the vote of thanks.

M B Puranik of religious council, H Jagannath Salian, president of Brahmakalashotsava among others were present.
