Mumbai: Women’s wing of Bhandary Seva Samithi holds Haladi Kumkum programme

Mumbai, Jan 23: The women’s wing of Bhandary Seva Samithi Mumbai recently held its annual Haladi Kumkum programme at Maria Plaza in Pokran, West Thane.

Lalitha Vishwanatha Bhandary, working president of Bhandary Seva Samithi women’s wing initiated the programme. The programme was held under the guidance of Balakrishna Puttur, president of Bhandary Seva Samithi. 

Sulochana Balakrishna Puttur, Rekha Padmanabha Bhandary, Geetha Narayana Bhandary, Sumathi Sham Bhandary and other representatives inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

Lalitha Vishwanatha Bhandary, working president of Bhandary Seva Samithi women’s wing briefed the importance of Haladi Kumkum programme.

“Religious practices give power to life. This traditional practice gives good health, peace to life. We should remember god not only in times of difficulty but every time. We should teach Bajanas, cultural education to children”, she said.

Thara R Rao welcomed; Ansuya Sandeep Bhandary compered; Vanitha S Bhandary thanked.

Balakrishna Puttur, Padmanabha Bhandary, vice president, Prabhakar Bhandary, honorary chief secretary, Pandu Bhandary, treasurer, Purshotham Bhandary, joint secretary, advocate R M Bhandary, advisory committee working president along with several others took part on this occasion.
