Udupi: Laxman Shetty elected president of Krishi Utpanna Marukatte Samiti

Udupi, Jan 23: Laxman L Shetty has been unanimously elected as the president of Krishi Utpanna Marukatte Samiti, Udupi, informed K Suresh Nayak, outgoing president.

He addressed the presspersons at a press meet held on Tuesday January 22.

Addressing the media, he said Laxman L Shetty has been elected as president while Devdas Salian was elected as the vice president during the general meeting recently held.

“In my 20 years of tenure, I have completed projects of Rs 33.15 lac and still 64 lac work will be taken up in future”, he said.

Commenting on Raitha Sanjeevani accident insurance scheme, he said that a sum of Rs 6,31,000 has been given to 26 beneficiaries.

Basavaraj, assistant director, Pandu Shetty, Sujothi V Heggde, Shankar Shettigara, Narayan Nayak, Melwin Sequeira, B Ramesh, Ramakanth Kamath Aravind Achar, Damodar Nayak among others were present.
