Mangalore, Jan 25: Konaje PSI Shivaprakash was suspended for failing to perform his duty on Thursday January 24.
The action was taken against the police official for registering a murder case as an accident.
As per the statement registered by Shivaprakash, Souda wife of Abdul Razaq, died in a bike accident that occurred near Mangalore University, when she was travelling with Abdul Rahiman on December 6.
After the incident, Abdul Razaq, husband of Souda came down from abroad and claimed that his wife’s death was not accident, but Abdul Rahiman himself killed her. The matter was also passed on to the police commissioner.
Taking this into consideration, police officials investigated the matter when the incident of murder came to light.
