Udupi: Man from Tamil Nadu caught with illicit Goan liquor

Udupi, Feb 28: A Tamil Nadu-based person was arrested here on Thursday February 28 for possessing illicit Goan liquor worth several thousands of rupees.

The accused has been identified as Subramani (40).

He was caught red-handed with three bags of illicit liquor near the parking lot outside Udupi railway station.

The total worth of the seized liquor is said to be Rs 18,200.

He was arrested by excise inspector G M Naikar along with Udupi PSI Sudhakar Tonse and team, under the direction and information received by DySP Uday Nayak.

Subramani was later produced in the court and remanded in judicial custody.
