Mangalore: Dr Rohan Mascarenhas recieves IOS Research Award

Mangalore, Mar 1: Dr Rohan Mascarenhas, professor of Orthodontics, Yenepoya University was awarded with the Indian Orthodontic Society research award for life members- 2012 by Dr Dibyendu Mazumder, the president of the dental council of India.

He was awarded at the eighth Asian Pacific Orthodontic conference and the 47th Indian Orthodontic Conference held recently at New Delhi.

This is the second time that he is recieving this award. Dr Rohan has been the ex-vice president of the  Indian Orthodontic Society.

He was the organising secretary at the Indian Orthodontic Society in 2006 and national co-ordinator at Indian Orthodontic Society, Bangkok in 2009.

Dr Rohan is a member of the academic council,  Yenepoya University, Deralakatte, Mangalore, and also a professor at the department of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics, Yenepoya Dental College, Mangalore.

He is also the national correspondent at IOS Times. Many articles written by Dr Rohan on the topic of orthodontics have been published in world class journals. He has also presented on a variety of topics at many occassions.

Dr Rohan is currently a general dental practitioner at the orthodontic and dental clinic, Mangalore and he is also pursuing his PhD at Yenepoya University.
