Kuwait, Mar 5: A month long campaign on the life of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) , under the theme of ‘Saviour of Mankind’ conducted by Indian Muslim Association (IMA) in coordination with IPC came to an end with a final gathering addressing the expatriate communities, here, at Sheikh Bader Al Sabah Function Hall, Abu Halifa.
The campaign that was coordinated by Arshad Habeeb included various activities like radio presentations, YouTube video uploads, Facebook updates, launching of a dedicated website www.saviourofmankind.org on life of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) and handbill distributions all over Kuwait by IMA volunteers in coordination with IPC-Kuwait for the benefit of all the communities irrespective of caste, creed or religion.
The concluding program started with recitation of glorious Quran by Master Omar Abdullah followed by welcome address and IMA introduction by Parvez Hanif.
The guest of honours Ramesh Kidiyoor - president of Tulu KootaKuwait and Samkutty Thomas-president of KALA (Arts) Kuwait then rendered the audience with their facilitation speeches in which they expressed the necessity of good characters as that of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) in current world and emphasized the importance of organizing such inter community programs.
A short video on Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) was also shown to the audience which included illustration on his ranking among world’s most influential persons, his last sermon to mankind and prophecies about advent of the prophet Muhammad in other scriptures.
The main speaker HasanTwaha Bwambale rendered a thought provoking speech on the topic-Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) ‘Savior of Mankind’. The other guest speaker Arshad Siddiqui, rendered his speech in Hindi on the current world situation and how compatible are the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh).
The main lectures were followed by interesting and informative question and answer sessions in which large audience participated. Program was convened by Parvez Hanif and Mushtaq Mehdi delivered the vote of thanks.
Another parallel concluding program was held at Rajadhani Palace Hotel Khaitan. The program started with the recitation of Holy Qur’an by Qazi Mohammed Owais followed by two videos, a ranking of the most influential persons in history and BBC documentary on the life of the last Prophet Mohammed (pbuh).
Nisar Ahmed, presented the Topic “Mohammed (pbuh), the last messenger of God”, through a PowerPoint presentation explaining who are messengers and their purpose. Fawaz F Al-Duaij spoke on the topic Prophet Mohammed, the Savior of Mankind.
Other dignitaries on the dais, who also spoke on this occasion included, Khalid Al Badar, Jon Mathew, Ashok Kumar.
A draw was held to choose the winner of the online quiz and Ricardo Rodrigues was declared winner, who walked away with an iPad.
Program was well convened by Mohammed Azeem and Dr.Iqbal delivered vote of thanks.
Delicious buffet dinner was served at the end of both the programs.
