Muscat: DKSC honours Udupi Qazi Ibrahim Musliyar Bekal

Muscat, Mar 6:
Janab PA Ibrahim Musliyar Bekal, president of the Karnataka Jamayatul Ulema and Qazi of Udupi, urged followers to study and understand the 23 years of life of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) and follow his lifestyle and teachings.

The religious leader, who was addressing a function organised in his honour by Dakshina Kanranta Sunny Centre (DKSC) in Muscat recently, stressed upon the teachings of the Holy Quran and Hadith. He said he was happy to see people from different parts of the state going abroad to earn their livelihood and also helping their community and economically weaker sections back home.

During the function, held at the residence of Monabba Abdul Rahiman of Yermal, president of DKSC, Janab Rashid Saqafi of Mittor gave a recitation of the Holy Quran while Monabba Abdul Rahiman welcomed the distinguished guest. DKSC convenor Mustafa Saqafi of Muloor introduced the Qazi to members of the audience.

Ibrahim Musliyar Bekal was honoured by DSKC while Syed Amanullah, Rafiq Padubidre, Junaid Assadi, Syed Mohiuddin Sastan, Ibrabim Athradi and Monabba Abdul Rahiman presented mementos to the Qazi.

Syed Mohiddin Sastan delivered the vote of thanks to the guest of honour and the programme ended with dua from the Qazi.
