Kasargod, Mar 8: In a tragic accident, Ayub (30), a copra businessman from Anekal, Badiyadka, lost his life after a pickup rammed into the rear of a parked container lorry.
Driver Rashid (22) from Kanyana, was severely injured in the accident that occurred on the night of Wednesday March 6 on the national highway near Shira in Kumble.
The incident took place at 11 pm when the pickup loaded with copra was plying from Uppala. Even though Ayub was rushed to hospital he could not be saved while the driver survived.
The mortal remains of Ayub were returned to his relatives after the autopsy was conducted in Kasargod General Hospital. Kumble police have filed a complaint. Ayub was the son of Abubakar and Ayusha. He is survived by his wife Misriya, daughter Raifana, and brothers Siraj and Anish.
