Udupi: Mini bus, tempo collide near Hiriadka

Udupi, Mar 29: An accident in which a tempo hit a mini bus on Thursday March 28, resulted in a fortunate escape for all the passengers who suffered only minor injuries. The accident occurred on the main road on Hiradka state highway at Anjar village, Ondhibettu, near Sri Durga Kalyana Mantap .

The tempo (Swaraj Mazda) with registration number KA 20 A 5475 was going from Udupi to Koppa. The mini bus belonged to TCS company and had registration number KA 18 D 369. 

The tempo hit the bus with such impact that the bus was damaged and fell near the drainage. Tempo driver Ramesh Alavoor and Vijay Hebri have been admitted to the hospital with serious injuries but bus driver Usman, conductor, and a few passengers had minor injuries.

A complaint was registered by bus agent Jagadheesh at Hiriyadka station.
