Mangalore, Apr 11: Admissions for foreign nationals/ Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/ Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) under Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) Scheme of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India for undergraduate programmes in engineering/architecture for the academic year 2013-14 to National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other premier Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTI) in India has been launched.
MHRD has entrusted the coordination of the admission process under DASA scheme for the academic year 2013-14 to National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal.
Students who have secured at least 60% aggregate marks or 6.75 CGPA (on a 10 point scale) in the senior secondary [10 2] or equivalent with mathematics, physics and any one of the subjects from (chemistry, bio-technology, computer science, biology) in 11th and / or 12th and having a valid SAT subject score of at least 1440 are eligible to apply.
Applications are to be submitted online before May 25, 2013.
DASA postgraduate admissions 2013-14 will be launched on May 1, 2013.
