Puttur: Youth drowns in rivulet accidentally

Puttur, May 15: In an incident which occurred at Chikkamudnoor village near Kadaba in the taluk on Tuesday May 14, a youth who was taking bath drowned in Hosmutt rivulet.

Sudhakar (22), son of Dejappa Gowda from Merla in Chikkamudnoor village had attended a religious function at the home of his relative, Puttila Sheenappa Gowda. After the programme, he wanted to take bath in Hosmutt rivulet along with some of his friends. While taking bath, he had briefly drowned in the rivulet, but was saved. He became very ill, and immediate arrangements were made to take him to a hospital.

Sudhakar breathed his last before reaching the hospital. On a report filed by Kutruppady gram panchayat member, Shivaprasad Puttila, Kadaba police have registered a case.
