Kundapur: Free blood grouping camp held

Kundapur, May 16:
A free blood grouping camp jointly organised by the Social Welfare Federation (Sister wing for Social service – Touheed Educational Trust (R), Ganguli) and Chayavana Diagnostic & Resource Centre Udupi , was recently conducted at the Madrasa Islahul Muslimeen, Jamiya Mohalla, Ganguli.
 
The camp was inaugurated by Br Abdul Hameed Shaikhji , treasurer 'Touheed'. The inaugural function was presided over by Br Bedre Mohd Ayub  (president, SWF).

Chief guest P A Bhat (director, Chayavana Diagnostic & Resource Centre, Udupi) delivered key note address and emphasized on the need to know the blood group and elaborated on the importance of blood donation. Other distinguished guests on the stage were Moulana Abdul  Mateen Siddique (Khateeb, Jamia Masjid, Gangolli), Br Momin Abdul Wahab (joint secretary, GMJ-UAE), Br M H Tahir Hasan, (ex-president-GMJ, Riyadh unit) and Moulana Muzaffar (GMJ, Dammam unit).
 
Br Mohd Jalal (secretary, SWF) welcomed the gathering and Br Hifzur –Rehman rendered ‘Qiraath’.
 
309 members of the community took part in this camp and got their blood group recorded in their identity cards.
