Karkala, May 17: A person named Shashikumar (24) from Parabettu in Mala village in the taluk committed suicide on Thursday May 16. Although his body was found hanging from a thicket near his house on Thursday, it is guessed that he had committed suicide between 5 pm on Wednesday and 7 am on Thursday.
His younger brother had ended life in similar fashion about two months back, and Shashikumar had not been able to come out of the gloom arising out of this loss, it is learnt. His relatives and neighbours guess that Shashikumar would have decided to commit suicide to bring an end to his prolonged agony over the untimely death of his brother.
