Udupi, May 19: Congress activists from Kaup celebrated With Vinay Kumar Sorake elevation to the post of minister in CM Siddaramaiah’s cabinet, by distributing sweets and bursting crackers.
Addressing the media, Congress leader MP Moidinabba said the people of Kaup are happy as Vinay Kumar Sorake was appointed as minister. The party activists and people are grateful to the chief minister and other leaders, he said.
"With the support and love from people, Sorake was elected MLA and even as minister. People of this region have lot of expectation which should be fulfilled. There will be a grand celebration when Sorake visits the district," he added.
H Abdulla from minority cell, Chandrashekar Kaup, Vijay Amin, Sudheer Padubidri, Lava Karkera, Abdulla Hameed, Khalid Ahmed, among others were present.
