Puttur: Pillion rider killed in accident

Puttur, May 21: Divakar (30), who was riding in the pillion of a motor bike, died on the spot after the vehicle he was travelling in got hit by a tipper truck at Mayila near Alankaru village. The accident occurred on Monday May 20.

Brother of the deceased, Dinesh, was admitted into a hospital in Puttur with serious injuries.  The brothers, residing in Kepul in Alankar village, were moving towards Kunthoor when a tipper truck hit their vehicle.

Divakar used to work as machine operator in a laterite stone quarry near Kasargod. He was on a visit to the family by availing leave. He is survived by mother, wife, and a son.

A case was registered in this respect in Kadaba police station.
