Mangalore, May 22: The death anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi was held at the Congress office on Tuesday May 21at 4 pm at the district Congress office.
Floral tributes were offered to Rajiv Gandhi’s photo by MLA Ramanath Rai and other Congress leaders. Speaking on this occasion, Rai said that Gandhi was a humble person and a gentleman in the Congress Party. “He was the one who was responsible for a high number of youths entering the party,” he added.
“His discipline and hard work in the party was very much admired by a lot of people,” said Rai urging all the youth to follow in his footsteps.
Leaders Kodijal Ibrahim, Moideen Bawa, Ivan D’Souza, Sadashiva Ullal, Mamatha Gatty, Ashith Pereira, Praveen Chandra Alva, Kanachur Monu, and Shashidhar Hegde were present.
