Udupi, May 24: “Protesting against the central government’s inefficiency in ensuring national security, controlling price rise, and involvement of leaders in various scandals, the district-level BJP leaders will organize a ‘Jail Bharo’ at Udupi Zilla  Kendra on Tuesday May 28,” said Udhay Kumar Shetty, district president, on Thursday May 23.

“One the same day, a protest will also be organized at Udupi service bus stand. UPA government is playing with the life of the common man as the government has failed to control price fluctuation.  People are struggling to survive and farmers are dying every day. Gas and petrol prices have increased to unimaginable levels,” he added.

“Postponing the official declaration of the newly formed taluks must also be opposed. The BJP had declared 43 new taluks this year. An amount of Rs 2 crore was kept for this purpose. Despite this, the revenue minister has taken a negative stand. We oppose this move,” added Shetty.

“They have also stated that the Krishna Math is run by private people and so government should not interfere in its affairs and hurt the religious sentiments of people. BJP workers will protest against all the above issues and get themselves arrested,” said Shetty.
